Morro Bay Camping Trip

Phillip's little sister, Heather, Martie and Wes came to visit for about a week. Heather joined us in our camping trip to Morro Bay, while Martie and Wes took care of things in Hollister. It was really nice to have her visit, we hadn't seen her for about a year (time sure goes by quick). Also, our friends the Morenos came with us. We had a lot of fun! They went boogie boarding and kayaking ( I watched Maya so they could go and have fun, Phil hardly gets to see her so I thought it was only fair if he got to spend one on one time with Heb). Maya and I had a lot of fun listening to music and buying candy while Phil and Heb went kayaking. We went out to lunch or dinner the days we were there, we enjoyed some delicious sea food. Oh how I love sea food, I could eat clam chowder everyday! Maya loved the water! It felt like the couple days we were there went by fast,I sure hope we can repeat this trip. Next time we'll have to reserve our camping spot way in advance. We almost didn't get to go because every place that sounded good to us was completely reserved :( California's coast line is very popular during the summer, we learned it the hard way :P

Visit with Dr. Rafiq

Maya had her 18 month check up this morning. Phillip usually takes her to the doctor because I'm usually at school when she has her appointments. However, Phillip had a CPR class that he had to go to and it was at the same time as Maya's appointment, so mommy took Maya to her appointment. I also wanted to get all of my lab work taken care of since my OB is in the same building. I got there a little early so that I could get my blood drawn and take the glucose test before Maya's appointment, but they informed me that they no longer take my insurance there so I have to go a different place to get it done (I was a little frustrated :S). Anyway, I headed downstairs in disappointment and waited for Maya's turn to see her doctor. We found out Maya weighs 30 lbs. and is 35 inches tall. She did great when she got her shots, she didn't even cry! I am so grateful she is a healthy child and is growing and learning everyday.

Plan D

Phillip wanted to go to a spray park today but we were unsuccessful, no water in both of the parks we checked. Then we went to the aquatic center and their hours were from 1-5pm, so that one didn't work either. We ended up coming back home, and since Phillip was determined to have a water day we ended up playing in our backyard.

Con la Familia Ocampo, Mi Familia

Last week Maya and I visited my family in Hollister. We left Tuesday morning and came back Friday morning, our time there went by fast. I was very happy to see them, but must admit I was missing Phillip a bit ( I know, I am a baby). Maya loved playing with my my parents and siblings, but she specially enjoyed playing with Duke, their dog. While there, we Skypped my brother Carlos, who lives in México. It felt like we were all there in the same room just enjoying one an other's company. Maya dance for us (nothing new), she lost a couple of things, like the TV control and I can't remember what else, she also got a cold and wasn't feeling too good Thursday, but she was still a happy monkey. I am glad we were able to visit, hopefully we see them again soon. Love you guys! Marcos and Maya watching Princess and the Frog:

Lito and Lita Come to Visit

We love to have Lito and Lita in our home, they are so much fun and are just great people. Maya loves to play with them and make them laugh. She especially loves it when they buy her candy ;)
(Note: Maya played with my make-up while I was getting ready and well I helped her a little. Doesn't she look cute?)
We had lunch at Sizzler and for the first time Maya wasn't happy about getting her picture taken.

Here is my Hubby wearing his Smurf outfit and ready for work :)

4th of July Weekend Fun

We ate, visited and had fun with our 30 dollars worth of fireworks (yes, I know we are cheap).
Isn't he cute?!
I think Gladys looks bonita in this picture so I had to share (Sorry Fernando, I was just being considerate of the phone guy).

I have more pictures in my other camera so I will share later :)

Sweet Dreams my Little Angel

I went to check up on Maya and I could't resist taking a picture. Oh how we love our little girl.
