December 1st

We put up Christmas decorations two nights ago. We had fun, Maya was so excited! I love how the Christmas tree makes our family room feel more cozy. At this very moment I feel entirely grateful for Christ. He is the reason behind this special time of year. We read a Christmas story today with the girls, and Maya listened to most of it. We are going to try to read a story everyday.
Maya's ornament from last year.

This little drummer boy is almost as old as I am.

He is always there. This is not a Christmas decoration.

Right now I feel so grateful for all the changes happening in our family's life. Good things are coming!

Dear Santa,

If you know me, then you must know I love shoes. I really do. So please dear Santa can you consider these items. I have been a good girl this year, I promise. I think these little boots would be perfect in my closet. My feet would love these suede heels too.

 Or maybe these ones.

My list is kind of big, I warn you :)

 Love you Santa!

Thanksgiving

We had so much fun this past week. Martie and Wes can make you laugh until your tummy hurts :) We had a girly night the day before Thanksgiving, we didn't go to bed until 12:00 am.Thanksgiving day we all worked as an awesome team and cooked the most delicious dinner. Nathan, Kristi's boyfriend and his kids joined us for dinner. We had fun and shared a special Holiday together. Martie and Wes leave tomorrow morning to Utah, they are thrilled about the snowy and cold weather (You know I am being sarcastic, right?). You see, California's weather is the best.
All the girls, minus Wes. He had a facial too, but didn't want to take a picture.

Martie, Phillip and Lauren. They were color coordinated.

Turning 24

Today we celebrated my birthday by having red velvet cake from Sweet Surrender Bakery.
It was delicious! Mr. sure knows how to surprise me. I really wasn't expecting anything because he had already taken me to the Julieta Venegas concert last month. Thank you so much for my yummy cake!

Maya loved the cake too!

Thanks Martie and Wes for my bag.  It came all the way from Nepal Himalayas.

Ben Does Life

Philllip showed me this video today when I got back from school. It really touched me. Phillip heard of Ben through the December issue of Runner's World Magazine, which is about amateur runners like me. I think that's really cool because they always have elite runners in their covers, so it was a nice change. I took some time to look at Ben's tumblr, and thought it was really inspiring. I can really relate to him. Check out his page here.
