The Nativity

Today was the day. Maya's first performance. She did good for a 3 year old. She danced and she jumped. I was a little embarrassed, but then I just laughed and enjoyed the moment. She was the star of the show ;) All our friends came after the show to tell us that she should be an actress because she wasn't shy at all. She was really comfortable on stage. They all enjoyed her goofiness and dance moves, thank goodness!
All the kids did great. It was a really cute play, with real baby and all. I am hoping I can get a copy of the video. I will share it here as soon as I get it.

She was so happy to see her papi. He was able to take his lunch break to come and see her.

Introducing...

our new little nameless puppy.

Some church friends found her abandoned out in the street. They took her in and cleaned her up. They took care of her for about a week. Yesterday after attempting to see Santa (Maya wouldn't go near him), we drove around delivering Christmas presents and cards. We stop by this family's house and  they convinced me to take a look at her. I did. She was the cutest little black lab. They wanted me to bring her home with us. I told them that I couldn't make a decision like that on my own. Ryan insisted and put her in my car. I said I probably will be back with her to return her. Maya fell in love with her right away and Phillip said, "lets keep her" instantly. So we got ourselves a new little pup. She is a cutie :)

NEW CHALLENGE

I AM SO EXCITED TO BE STARTING INSANITY. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR A LONG TIME. THE 60 DAY CHALLENGE BEGINS MONDAY!!! I HOPE I CAN BECOME STRONGER. I AM ALSO HOPING THIS CAN HELP ME BECOME A FASTER RUNNER TOO. WE WILL SEE. WISH ME LUCK :)

Elders Quorum Dinner

 We had fun last night. The Elders Quorum presidency gets together for dinner quarterly. Last night was our turn to be the hosts. The first counselor and the secretary were out of town so we invited our friends, the Freemans. I am glad they were able to come. Their little guy, Jonathan is a sweetheart. Maya had the most fun of all. By the time our friends left she was so tired. She didn't go to bed until 9 pm and didn't wake up  until 9 am this morning (not typical of her).

Pacific Half Marathon

March 24th, 2012. I can't wait!

While papá works we play

We eat chocolate.

 We make messes with sprinkles.

We make little houses.

 We go running and complain that our cheeks are cold. 

But mommy doesn't listen and we just keep going. 

We are having so much fun together. But we are also driving mommy crazy because we don't always listen. In fact it seems like lately we enjoy throwing temper tantrums a lot.

 What's the fun in always been good and listening? 

But mommy still loves us no matter what.

Maybe, just maybe we will be good today. 

But let us think about it, because it sounds very difficult to do.
