Life Lately

Phillip started his new schedule a couple weeks ago. He now works TWTH from 9-9:30. We have 4 day weekends! The first couple weeks were crazy because we had so much going on. But I think we will stick around for a while, do house work and relax. Phillip is currently working on our yard. Some time soon we should have the greenest grass on the block ;), I hope. I have been busy with running, preschool, a few projects, and well being a mother.
The girls and I have been working on this:
This room was my sister's, but now is the playroom. The girls have everything they need here. They have books, puppets, babies, barbies, dress up costumes, puzzles, etc.
They love to go in there and just make a mess, that's alright with me. They pick up their mess after they are done playing.

We made pretzels last night. It was so much fun!
This is what they looked like at the end.

I also painted Maya's face. Once in a while she likes me to do that for her. She was happy with the finish product and I was happy she was happy.

I love green smoothies

That's what Addi would say if she could talk.
I don't mind sharing my breakfast with this little one.

BTC Summer Series

I am officially a BTC member. Today I ran the 1st race of the summer series. I did a 5k. It was last minute. I got invited to it 1 1/2 hours before the race. I had already had dinner and I knew I was going to feel like puking the whole time. But I decided to do it.  I will have to do multiple runs for the Ragnar and I decided this would be a good way to train.

The schedule looks like this:

  • June 2    HALT 5k/10k
  • June 5    BTC Summer Series #1
  • June 9    Fit for Business 5k/10k
  • June 19  BTC Summer Series #2
  • June 30  Color Me Rad
  • July 3     BTC Summer Series #3
  • July 17   BTC Summer Series #4
  • July 31   BTC Summer Series #5
  • Aug 14  BTC Summer Series #6
  • Aug 25  Team In Training 5mi, 5k, 1mi

Congratulations little brother

This handsome man is my brother. He is smart, hard working and he is single ;) He graduated last Friday from San Benito High School. He has big plans for the future. I know great things will come his way because he works hard. I am so proud of him. He is really awesome I must say.

Sergio and his girlfriend. He is Marcos' BFF

My momma

And I wouldn't change a thing

I took a nap today after we got back from a weekend long visit to my parents' house in Hollister. I was really tired and I had put the girls down for a nap after lunch. During my sleep I had a dream about Phillip. I don't remember much about it. All I know is that I felt a very pure feeling of love when I woke up. I thought of him and all he has done for me. He has had to be patient with me, oh so patient. I was so young when we got married. I was a kid. I had so much to learn and still have. Our age difference made it a little hard. But over the years we have learned. I am so grateful for all his hard work. He really does work hard to keep a roof over our heads. His job is stressful at times and when he gets home he is happy as long as there is a bowl of ice cream for him to eat. Martie and Wes did a great job teaching their kids. I also admire Moe, my brother in law so much. He is one hard worker. He never stops. You can tell how much he loves his family and he never stops working, tired and all. It just makes me feel so lucky to be a part of such an awesome family.
Over the weekend Phillip sang to me. And here is a picture to prove it.
At my parents' house.

He sang this song to me twice :) I am not a country person so much, but I love this song.

Love you, babe!
