LFR- Mission Complete

Little Feet Repeats is a semi-annual consignment store. We have shopped for our girls there several times and have always been able to find good quality clothes. My friend Holly called me this morning and said she was going to LFR and invited me to go with her. The girls and I got ready in one hour and headed out the door after Phillip left to work. When we got there the line was huge!!! But I knew the wait would be worth it.

This time my mission was to find clothes for little Lincoln. We have been buying clothes here and there, but were nowhere near being ready for his arrival. My mission was successful! I found a lot of cute clothes for him, nothing dorky in my opinion. And the best thing was being able to find a double stroller for a very reasonable price. Now little Lincoln can come whenever he wants to. We are ready for him!

I was so excited with all the stuff I was able to find that I called Phillip at work and asked him if he  could meet us outside of the hospital. He said he was about to take a break so it worked out perfect. We showed him all the stuff and he approved.

Side note: Last night while in bed Phillip was rubbing my tummy and admitted to being really excited for Lincoln. He said is becoming more real to him as my due date gets closer. I can tell he is so excited. I told him that maybe this weekend he should not work on the nursery until after his mid term, but he said he will make time for it. My husband is so amazing.

Also, my baby shower is March 23rd and I am very excited  because it involves my friends and a chocolate fountain.

Randomness

  • Yesterday and today have been so nice here. It has been in the 80s and so sunny! We have been going for walks, eating outside, riding scooters and getting sweaty. I love this weather! It lifts my spirits :) I hope baby Lincoln is born on a sunny day.

  • I have also been cleaning all our baby gear. And my awesome husband has been a busy bee preparing the nursery. I can't wait for it to be done so I can post pictures here. All I can say is that it involves baseball, red, gray and black. I think it will turn out awesome!
  •  I have my hospital bag almost ready. You would think by the third time I would have it all figured out, but I am still thinking I am missing important stuff. But as long as I have the camera I am good to go.
  • I  forgot to record that I pre-registered at Mercy Hospital last week. Also, from now on I will be seeing my OB every single week. Baby Lincoln is dropping for sure, I have to use the bathroom like constantly!

  • I am have been sick for a week and a half! I just want to be able to breath.
  • So far Phillip is doing great in school. He has a very high A! I am so proud of him, he works hard.

  • Maya has her last soccer practice this next week. Next, I think is T-ball, then she will be doing swimming in the summer. I love having her involved.

Try Two

Well, the brandy color boots I ordered a couple weeks ago didn't work. They were to big, so I sent them back pronto.  Since the black Franco Sarto ones worked, I ordered another pair in brandy color. They are just a little different, they don't have the buckle. I hope they work.

P is for Potty

Addison is becoming a pro at using the potty. She has had an awesome week of no accidents and no diapers. She wears panties during the day and a pull up at night. She is no longer interested in using her little potty, she just likes the regular toilet. I am so grateful she took after Maya. Now I will only have to worry about Lincoln's diapers. We will continue to do our happy dance over here.

We are sick!

Maya has been sick for the past few days. Friday night she gave me a scare because she was breathing really fast and shallow while sleeping. I was concerned because she has asthma. I called the nurse on-call at our pediatricians office and she just made me feel even worse. She suggested for me to take her to the ER. Then I just decided to call my sister in law, Angela. I am glad I called her because she made me feel peaceful. I know you will be reading this Angela, thank you so much for your help! Just like Angela suggested I waited until the morning and allowed her to rest through the night. I got up bright and early, took a shower and then we headed out the door to the Pedi-Center (urgent care). The wait wasn't too bad, and they were so good to my little girl. She had a breathing treatment and then x-rays to make sure she didn't have pneumonia (her right lung didn't sound too good). After the x-rays, the Dr. came and told us that she had bronchitis. She was given an antibiotic and Albuterol. Saturday she slept so much better and her breathing returned to normal. I am so grateful for medicine because she is doing a lot better now!

Now Addison and I are sick. I feel horrid and I can tell Addi does too. I guess four nights of hardly no sleep finally got to me. My throat is on fire and and my ears hurt, plus I have a nasty headache. I am tired and running out of patience :( I hope this goes away fast because now Addi needs me.

Side note: I am so grateful to be able to take care of my children. Maya asked me to sing to her the whole time we were at the urgent care. She kept telling me how much she loved me. She said I was the best mommy ever and that I really knew how to take care of kids. I lost count of how many times she said, "I really love you very much mommy."

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Today for preschool we celebrated Dr. Seuss' b-day. We listened to the narration of Green Eggs and Ham.

I love a lot of Dr. Seuss quotes!

We played a Dr. Seuss pattern and matching game, we did some coloring pages, we made some red bow ties and drew whiskers on our faces. We also cooked some green eggs for lunch.

I would have liked to take the girls to the public library to check out some Dr. Seuss books, but Maya is really sick (excuse the pajamas and messy hair). We had a terrible night, we hardly slept! She has a high fever and can't stop coughing. Also, I am in the middle of potty training Addison so she has only been wearing panties for the last couple days. I hate staying indoors all day, I am just praying Maya will feel better soon and Addison won't take too long to potty train.

Maya didn't even take a bite of her food.
After we were done with lunch we watched The Lorax.
