Lincoln's Baby Shower

I feel so blessed and loved :)  First, my sister in law, Kristi drove 4 hrs. round trip just to make it to the baby shower. Second, having all the ladies that are dear to me at my shower just put a huge smile on my face. And third, there was lots of chocolate! I feel like I had so much. I can't sleep, my stomach is burning and I have already puked twice. I hate not having room in my stomach :P
Sorry for the ridiculous amount of pictures, but I just felt like sharing them all. Some are from my BFF, Gladys' phone.

36 Weeks

I have 4 weeks left! I can't believe it. This pregnancy has flown by, except for the past 2+ weeks when I was sick. We are so excited around here. Maya doesn't fail to ask me every single day," is baby brother coming today?"  And I always have to reply, "He is not ready yet, he will be here soon." She kisses and hugs my belly all the time, her excitement is so genuine. I have a feeling she will be the best big sister.

Lincoln's room is getting close to being done. A friend of ours is working on a crib skirt. We had left over material from the curtains and we didn't want to waste it, so we asked her if she would help. She was so excited to help us out. We are truly blessed with people that are always willing to  help us out. We are hoping to be done with his room by Friday, if so I will post pictures of the room.

Last Day of Soccer :(

Today Maya had her last day of soccer. She had fun and did good, except for her stomach was hurting and her chest. She still tried her best! I am so glad we signed her up for this because she had so much fun. She always smiled and had a cheerful attitude. She was shy at the beginning, but I think she gained a little more confidence as every practice went by. Her coach, Carlos was very good with them. Today at practice they played against the coaches at one point and the kids were not scoring at all. They were very clever and a lot of them decided to tackle coach Carlos while the other kids went and scored a goal. It was really funny to watch. Maya gave him her hand trying to help him get up, that's my girl! Sadly Phillip had to miss her last day of practice so he could study, so I tried to take as many pictures as I could for him.

Here are a few pictures of her last day:

Maya and Addison, they became little buddies. Every day before practice they would walk together holding hands.

Girls' Night Out

My running partner and good friend, Holly is so awesome. I love spending time with her because we love a lot of the same stuff, I guess we just click. We have been going on dates once a month and we always have fun together. This evening we went to Applebee's and had a yummy dinner, then we went to ULTA to check out make-up. Our time together went by fast!

After our girls' night out, I came home to a sleepy hubby. He has to work tonight at 2am. I love this man, he sacrifices so much for us. He put the girls to bed by himself. But before I left I fed them dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and read one book to the girls ;)  And while I had fun, my man studied hard in preparation for his mid-term. We can't wait for his program to be over. We are both dreaming of our vacation next spring. We will have to do something really special.

LFR- Mission Complete

Little Feet Repeats is a semi-annual consignment store. We have shopped for our girls there several times and have always been able to find good quality clothes. My friend Holly called me this morning and said she was going to LFR and invited me to go with her. The girls and I got ready in one hour and headed out the door after Phillip left to work. When we got there the line was huge!!! But I knew the wait would be worth it.

This time my mission was to find clothes for little Lincoln. We have been buying clothes here and there, but were nowhere near being ready for his arrival. My mission was successful! I found a lot of cute clothes for him, nothing dorky in my opinion. And the best thing was being able to find a double stroller for a very reasonable price. Now little Lincoln can come whenever he wants to. We are ready for him!

I was so excited with all the stuff I was able to find that I called Phillip at work and asked him if he  could meet us outside of the hospital. He said he was about to take a break so it worked out perfect. We showed him all the stuff and he approved.

Side note: Last night while in bed Phillip was rubbing my tummy and admitted to being really excited for Lincoln. He said is becoming more real to him as my due date gets closer. I can tell he is so excited. I told him that maybe this weekend he should not work on the nursery until after his mid term, but he said he will make time for it. My husband is so amazing.

Also, my baby shower is March 23rd and I am very excited  because it involves my friends and a chocolate fountain.

Randomness

  • Yesterday and today have been so nice here. It has been in the 80s and so sunny! We have been going for walks, eating outside, riding scooters and getting sweaty. I love this weather! It lifts my spirits :) I hope baby Lincoln is born on a sunny day.

  • I have also been cleaning all our baby gear. And my awesome husband has been a busy bee preparing the nursery. I can't wait for it to be done so I can post pictures here. All I can say is that it involves baseball, red, gray and black. I think it will turn out awesome!
  •  I have my hospital bag almost ready. You would think by the third time I would have it all figured out, but I am still thinking I am missing important stuff. But as long as I have the camera I am good to go.
  • I  forgot to record that I pre-registered at Mercy Hospital last week. Also, from now on I will be seeing my OB every single week. Baby Lincoln is dropping for sure, I have to use the bathroom like constantly!

  • I am have been sick for a week and a half! I just want to be able to breath.
  • So far Phillip is doing great in school. He has a very high A! I am so proud of him, he works hard.

  • Maya has her last soccer practice this next week. Next, I think is T-ball, then she will be doing swimming in the summer. I love having her involved.
