Day 4

Sunday was a relaxing day. We went to the park, the beach and roasted marshmallows.

Day 3, THE BIG DAY

Okay, so Saturday morning we woke up at 6 o'clock, yes that's right. We were tired and it was really cold. We got up and got ready to head to the starting line, which by the way was only 3 miles away from our camp site. We got there and the place was packed, I needed to use the bathroom and Phillip had to put the jogger together. We try to hurry, so that we could check in our bag with Maya's snacks and food for after the race, but it was too late, they wouldn't take it. So, bad news for us or I should say for Phillip because he had to push Maya and an extra few pound for the whole race. The course was difficult to say the least, up hill most of the way! We were tired, a lot of people would stop and walk but we never stopped! I am really proud of us, but specially proud of my hubby because he did amazingly. Our time was not that great but considering the course we did good! We will be running it again next year and will for sure beat our PRs. Maya having some food after the race.

Ignore the hair!

Family Picture

After the race, we went and spent the evening at a park in Malibu. It was beautiful! It overlooked the ocean.
Then we went to the beach again!

Day 2

We woke up, had breakfast, went to L.A. Temple and then went to Santa Monica. It was so much fun!
Telling some stories!

She was afraid of the water, but with daddy she felt protected.

She loves her daddy!

She loves the swing (we decided to get her one for Easter).
This little girl, Marcela was so cute! She didn't speak English and Maya only spoke Baby , but that wasn't a problem they managed to be friends for a few minutes.

Day 1

Thursday we woke up, loaded the car and headed to Malibu Creek State Park. After setting up camp, we went to pick up our bib numbers and goodie bags for the race. We had dinner and then we went to watch the sunset at the beach.

Our tent all set up!

Stop and smell the roses.

Summary

I have been really busy the past couple of weeks with mid-terms and homework. Maya is such an active little girl that is impossible for me to study when she is awake. I study when she is taking a nap and when she goes to bed. Today, while she was taking her nap I decided to take my Philosophy (online class)exam and I am happy to inform that I got an A. If you remember I was really frustrated with this class because I just wasn't get it. Fortunately, I have been able to understand this section and so I did well. Next week we are going camping near Malibu, I can't hardly wait! We will be running The Great Race of Agoura Hills, attend the Temple, go to the beach and eat some yummy sea food. I will take lots of pictures I promise. Well, that is all for today! Hope you are having a great week.

Do you thinks she likes to dance?

Maya got this dancing and singing bear from her Lito for Valentine's Day. At first she didn't like it that much, but nows she likes to see him dance every morning when she wakes up.

Caleb's Birthday

Gladys and Fernando's son, Caleb turned 1 last Saturday! We had a lot of fun celebrating his birthday. He had a lot of fun playing with balloons, eating cake and opening presents. Jokingly I said to Maya as I was getting her ready to go to their house, "Maya we are going to go see your boyfriend." He is such a cutie and will be a handsome man, I know it.
