Thanksgiving

We had so much fun this past week. Martie and Wes can make you laugh until your tummy hurts :) We had a girly night the day before Thanksgiving, we didn't go to bed until 12:00 am.Thanksgiving day we all worked as an awesome team and cooked the most delicious dinner. Nathan, Kristi's boyfriend and his kids joined us for dinner. We had fun and shared a special Holiday together. Martie and Wes leave tomorrow morning to Utah, they are thrilled about the snowy and cold weather (You know I am being sarcastic, right?). You see, California's weather is the best.
All the girls, minus Wes. He had a facial too, but didn't want to take a picture.

Turning 24

Today we celebrated my birthday by having red velvet cake from Sweet Surrender Bakery.
It was delicious! Mr. sure knows how to surprise me. I really wasn't expecting anything because he had already taken me to the Julieta Venegas concert last month. Thank you so much for my yummy cake!

Maya loved the cake too!

Thanks Martie and Wes for my bag.  It came all the way from Nepal Himalayas.

Ben Does Life

Philllip showed me this video today when I got back from school. It really touched me. Phillip heard of Ben through the December issue of Runner's World Magazine, which is about amateur runners like me. I think that's really cool because they always have elite runners in their covers, so it was a nice change. I took some time to look at Ben's tumblr, and thought it was really inspiring. I can really relate to him. Check out his page here.

Our weekend according to Maya

Here are few pictures Maya took on Saturday. They are really out of focus, but I think she did a good job. I forgot she took the camera from me, but it was cute to look at the 20 plus pictures she took.

Maya can't get over Halloween

She asked for me to paint her face scary so she could frighten her daddy.

The BOB will become my best friend

Our BOB Ironman Dullie is finally here! Phillip said to me, "this BOB better become like your best friend, because it sure was expensive." I promised him and he knows that I will use it a lot. I have been running early in the mornings, but I am thinking of maybe training twice a day (crazy? maybe). Once Phillip's knee feels better then we will go for runs together. I miss those days, he is the best running partner ever.
I am looking forward to putting in more mileage than I have been, and this BOB will help me do just that.
Half Marathon training begins now! :)

And the Fun Continued...

Here are a few pictures I took of the girls' first real, door to door "trick or treat" experience. We left early to avoid the real creepy looking costumes ( I don't like creepy looking costumes). We still encountered a couple of those creepy ones, but Maya did okay. She was happy with her candy. I allowed her to have a couple pieces, then I told her it was enough. Today Phillip took the rest of the candy to work (no cavities in this house).

Maya and Addison enjoy doing this.
This is what they did after I got them ready for bed.
