L.A.- vol. 2

Friday we went to the L.A. Zoo! We had so much fun walking around. i think we walked for over 5 hrs. I carried Addison on my back so Maya could use the stroller, but she only used it for like 10 minutes at the most. She did awesome. Here they are looking at a sea lion.
This little fella was so cute.
I love this little chunk. You will notice that Maya is with dad in most of the pictures. He takes care of Maya and I take care of Addison, that is how we do it these days.

L.A.- vol. 1

All I can say is that I am so glad to be back home for a few days. I DON'T LIKE THE CITY! It was just a little to busy for me. We had a great time, but the traffic was horrendous.

We stayed at the Los Angeles Temple apartments, which was super nice because it was like having a little house all to ourselves. The first day we went shopping and then attended the Temple. On Thursday, the second day we went to see the Anaheim Angels play vs. the Texas Rangers. Our team won and we had a good time, except Maya was scared of the fireworks. I walked around with both girls for a good chunk of the game because our sits were hot.Maya got a hat like us.
A man was so kind to take a fam. picture of us.
Jared Weaver, their starting pitcher.
After the game we drove back to the apartment to rest, have dinner and take showers. In the evening we went to Santa Monica Pier to walk around and listen to some Australian musicians (they have a free concert there every Thursday). We walked around and headed back home.We looked at this birds while I fed Addison. Maya wanted to hold them, but she was scared and didn't do it :( Maya loved chasing the bubbles.

Thank You Grandpa!

My father gave Maya money so we could take her to Chuck E. Cheese. So yesterday we went there for lunch. She had a little pizza and played for a couple of hours. Gracias papá por el regalo :)

Two Day Getaway- No Children

While we were in Hollister our parents were so kind to keep the girls so we could go to Monterey. We spent a couple of days by ourselves. At first I felt guilty for leaving them, but then I started to enjoy it and ended up having a great time. I felt like we were newlyweds but even better. We did lots of walking around Cannery Row, the beach and we spent one of the days in beautiful Carmel. I loved both days, but I think my favorite was walking around Point Lobos State Reserve. It was amazing, I highly recommend this place, it is beautiful and so relaxing. This momma and baby were super close to us.
While in Cannery Row we had lunch at Bubba Gump. I know Bubba is so touristy, but we like the food there.
After Bubba we did some more walking and stopped to get some chocolate at a local candy shop, then we headed to our hotel.
After a little rest we took off again and visited their local farmer's market. We bought some fresh peaches and plums, and we tried some Lebanese food.We walked right by the ocean before heading to the hotel for the night. Ah, and we also stopped by some historical buildings.

The second day we went to Carmel. This little town is gorgeous, I loved it! If Phillip was a Doctor we would live there. We visited the mission there. I love missions, they are so interesting and San Carlos Borroméo de Carmel Mission did not disappoint. We took lots of pictures and just enjoyed one another's company. Once we were done touring the mission we drove downtown Carmel and stopped at a couple shops. We ended up buying some awesome hats at The Carmel Hat Company. We had lunch at a local Café.
This is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us.I loved this stairs, they were so pretty. Finally, we went for one last walk in Monterey and then headed back to Hollister to our two little monkeys.NEXT DESTINATION LOS ANGELES & MALIBU!
