Phillip The Cook

My dear husband has been so helpful! He offered to help me cook last week because I had to study for 3 exams. He fixed Tofu Primavera and it was delicious. Thank you honey for being such a supportive husband!

Letter to my Dear Husband

Dear Phillip,

Maya and I went for a walk this evening and as I was walking, I thought about you. I just feel so blessed to have you as my eternal companion. I want to thank you for all the support you give me, I know it's hard to wake up early and watch Maya when I am gone for school. I also know that you already have a lot of weight on your shoulders but you just always go above and beyond in trying to help me. You are so patient with me, I know I can be stubborn and moody at times but you just never give up on me.

You are the best father! I love to see you interact with our daughter and it always brings a smile to my face. You are so dedicated to her, you take her for walks, play with her, make her laugh...you are just amazing.
I am so grateful with Heavenly Father for blessing me with your friendship and your love. I have learned so much from you and with you, and I am still anxious to learn new things with you. Thank you so much for all the motivation you have given me to become a healthier person and specially for making those changes in your own life. Thanks for training with me for our first 10k, I know you are tired but you continue to press forward. Something just clicked in my head...you know that ugly and sad incident in my life...it had to happen because then later in my life I would be rewarded with you! You and our daughter mean the world to me!
I love you so much!

Dodgers Game

Last Saturday, we went to see the Dodgers play vs. The Giants. It was a really intense game, the fans were really aggressive and it was really hot. We still had a great time and enjoyed spending some time together. The Dodgers won 12 to 1, yeah...it was a crazy game. We are still trying to decide if we want to be Dodgers fans or Angels fans, but I think I liked the Angels better and fans were much more friendly.

Phillip's B-day

Moe (Phillip's brother) was able to come for Phillip's birthday. We picked him up at the airport, Friday afternoon. We went to Dewar's and had some ice cream, then came home and I fixed Phillip's birthday dinner, which is sweet and sour chicken wings, and Chinese rice and had a late dinner. After dinner we watched Spiderwick Chronicles and then went to bed. Saturday morning we got up and got ready for the Angels' game! I was really excited because it would be my first Major League Baseball game. On our way to the game we stopped at a running store to get some running shoes for Phillip. They got some really nice running shoes, I wanted a pair :[ They took a while deciding what shoes to get and we were almost late to the game, luckily we made it on time. The game was really exciting but, unfortunately the Angels lost. It's okay because they did a great job.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!
I hope you had a great birthday celebration.

My Mother's Birthday

It was really nice to visit my family last weekend. We were able to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday! We had a great time with them, we went out to http://www.jaliscorestaurant.com/ It is one of our favorite restaurants for sure. Phillip and my brother Carlos have their b-days this month as well, so they also got some flan and ice cream courtesy of the house. After our delicious dinner we went back home and had some cake and mexican jello.

I am so grateful for having such a caring and loving mom. I am grateful for the sacrifices which she makes to be able to provide a better future for my siblings, and for all she did for me and continues to do. She is a strong woman and she will always be a great example for me. I will always look up to her!
