The past few days have been hard. I know it doesn't snow here, but 32 degrees is cold. I like my nice and cozy bed, but I still wake up to go for my morning runs. I don't know how much longer I can keep running. I might cut down to 4 miles a day after I reach 30 weeks. My partners have been so good, they are running slow for me. I can't thank them enough! I have told my friend and running partner, Holly that when she is pregnant again I will be there for her too.
Today I am thankful for faithful and loyal running partners!

Phillip I just wanted to tell you that you are one AMAZING person. I am very proud of you. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be a student, work full time, be a father and husband all at the same time. You finished your first quarter with an A and it just makes me feel all happy inside. I know you will do great and I promise to help you in every way I can. Soon this struggle will be over (maybe not so soon, but you get what I mean) and we will be glad we made this decision for you to go back to school. I love you so very much! Thank you for sacrificing so much. I am wishing this year will be over soon and then I will have my husband back :)
Love,
Your Avestruz

26 weeks
I am growing by the minute. I was horrible during the holidays and ended up gaining more weight than I wanted to. But I promised myself that I will be good for the rest of the pregnancy. I have also continued to run on a regular basis. Last Saturday I went almost 9 miles! I was so excited and felt like I could keep going, but I didn't because I was afraid I would be extremely tired the next day. The baby is super active, he always picks the worst time to kick though, when I am trying to sleep. We still have no name for this child, Phillip and I can not agree on any of the names. I don't know why we are having such a hard time. I don't remember the process being hard when we picked the girls' names.
This can potentially be my last pregnancy, I am having a hard time with my right leg. I would take a picture of it but I am so embarrassed of it. I have the worst varicose veins! I feel so depressed every time I look at them, they look ugly and they hurt a lot. My doctor said to really think about it if we decided to get pregnant a 4th time. I don't think there will be a 4th time. I really feel like I am done. I am so happy to be carrying our 3rd child, but emotionally and physically I am done. And I can not imagine how much more my leg would hurt if I was pregnant one more time.
I don't think this post was very positive, but these are my feelings right now.

We are in love with Goorin Brothers
Today we received a special package from Goorin Brothers. Goorin Brothers is an awesome hat shop! We first discovered the shop when we were walking around San Francisco's Union Square. Phillip noticed the shop and wanted to go in, I was a little skeptical about it because I thought it would be way out of our price range, fortunately it wasn't (some things were). Phillip was able to find an awesome flatcap that he wears all the time and looks really good on him. They are currently having their winter sale and some of their hats are ridiculously cheap. We took advantage of the sale and ordered 6 hats, 4 for us and 2 for my dear mother in law. And now I am the proud owner of 3 Goorin hats, just like Phillip.

One Year Older
Today my little piece of Heaven turned four. I can't believe I have been a mother for 4 years. I tried to make Maya's day as special as possible. Phillip worked today and since it is the middle of the week we decided to have a party for her and Addison in a couple of weeks. She did get her present from us and Tia Kristi. She was so excited with her new Razor scooter and her movie. I fixed her a special breakfast and later she decided that she wanted a scoop of ice cream as a treat and so I was happy to oblige. My mother, father and sister called at different times to sing to her "Happy Birthday" and every single time she had the biggest smile. I love my daughter. I love being her mother and caring for her.
| We made some puppets. |
| We even had grumpy moments. She was upset because she couldn't go fast on her scooter. She kept trying and I told her that the more she practices the better she will get. She tried very hard today. |
I am obsessed
I must admit that I am obsessed with Les Misérables. Phillip and I went to the movies a couple of days ago to watch it and it because my favorite movie. Gladiator had been my favorite movie for a long time, even though I have not watched it for like 7 years it still remained my favorite. Monday Les Misérables took its place. It is very interesting that Russell Crowe is in both movies, I just love him. I think he is an amazing actor. I must say that the whole cast was just amazing. The whole movie was AMAZING!
